Man I totally blew off Gotye when we were profiling him at BlackBook a few months back. I have bad music taste anyway so it was an uphill battle for him, but still. I even dismisssed “Somebody That I Used to Know” on first hearing.
So what’s changed?
I sort of backed into appreciating that song via the proliferation of covers that have come out since.
I just downloaded the single and am considering getting that whole album.

What's the process you use for making words? Do you sketch them out on paper first? Or use clay molds? I'm always interested to hear how other people create.
No sir, when I make words I use the whole carcass, from cerebellum to duodenum. Handsomely paid interns spend days chewing the hides of various phrases to make them supple and downy enough for these posts. And the precious sweetmeats are packed in earthenware jars and buried deep down for when spring comes and the the time for rationing our words is finally over at last, and we may feast, and micturate with abandon in the fields and grassy ways.
someone accepts a Facebook friend request I must have sent weeks or months (or even years?) ago, so long ago that I can’t even really remember a context where I would have possibly sent such a friend request to this person. Sorry new friend, but that version of me has time-traveled away, vanished into the timeline. The Facebook Timeline.
