Tips for the New Wearer of Eyeglasses

  1. This will amount to a great resolution upgrade for video games.
  2. After a few days, you may notice your glasses getting “foggy.” This is actually “dirt.”
  3. Now that you wear eyeglasses there is a whole panoply of new physical stage business available to you! Favorites include (a) removing your glasses and chewing on the stem while lost in thought, (b) removing your glasses and gesturing with them at a colleague to emphasize a point, (c) rotating your head downward to cast dubious glances over the top rims, (d) absent-minded twirling, (e) removing glasses emphatically to stare in amazement at something in the middle or far distance, (f) plus many more unlocked at higher levels.

  2. karion said: Panoply is one of those words that I have used many times in written form, but when I try to use it in speech, I stumble so badly on the pronunciation that it ends up sounding like “monopoly.” This may be off topic.
